What You
Should Think About.
How many of your
employees do you expect to leave your organization this
year? How many have already left? A recent study shows that
almost one-third of employees surveyed expect to leave for
another job within the year. Taking into consideration the
cost of advertising, interviewing, time, travel, lost
productivity, and other associated expenses, the cost of
replacing each employee costs the company between 29 and 46
percent of his or her annual salary. More recent studies
have shown that the replacement cost can be as much as 100
percent of an annual salary. While turnover can't be
stopped, it can be reduced by identifying and addressing its
cause.
